... I think that academia and research are an important foundation for our open and democratic society. Without these, there would be no findings and, thus, no progress. Generating new knowledge is crucial for understanding our world better and allows us to find solutions to today’s and tomorrow’s problems. At the University of Vienna, new knowledge is produced in an amazing disciplinary breadth. I would like to convey this knowledge to the public and, thereby, show how exciting and diverse academia can be.
